Applying to the Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences Program
Students are generally admitted in the fall semester of each academic year. To receive full consideration, completed applications should be submitted no later than December 1 of the prior year. Eligible applications will be considered on a competitive basis.
When applying to the Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences program, please note the following:
- Only completed applications will be considered for admission – this includes a statement of purpose, CV, official transcripts, and three letters of recommendation. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Applicants should report their grade point average (GPA) using the GPA calculation form. GPA is taken into consideration, and a GPA of less than 3.0 (on a 4-point scale) is generally not competitive.
- Applicants should be clear in their statement of purpose that they are interested in CPS. A rationale for why CPS is a good fit should also be included.
- Students are first admitted to the CPS concentration and do not select a mentor until after they begin the program. All students must complete the same application process; faculty cannot directly admit students into their laboratories.
- Interviews are required prior to acceptance and may be conducted in-person or via video conferencing.
- The GRE is no longer required for admission to the UF College of Pharmacy Graduate Program.
- It is not possible to waive or defer the $30.00 application fee. This fee must be paid directly to the UF Office of Admissions and must be received before any application is processed. If you cannot pay electronically, please use this form to mail in your payment.

International Applicants
All international applicants must provide proof of English Proficiency. Exemptions may be granted only if applicants have successfully completed at least one academic year in a degree-seeking program at a recognized/regionally accredited university or college in the United States or a country where English is the official language; or if applicants hold an earned equivalent of associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree from a recognized/regionally accredited college or university in the United States or country where English is the official language.
